  1. Shoulder armor is way too big and it shows that they have problem keeping it straight for the photoshoot.

    1. It has to be this big - just as big as the ankles, as in mobile armor mode these form claws, which of course should have the same size.

  2. Weight issues, it needs a stand, a bit sad :(

  3. Those blades are a bit too long. Pretty sure they're alot shorter in the series.

  4. After MG Aegis... I wonder what's next.

  5. What bothers me is that this should've been made 10 yrs again in its original airing.... a big fail of Bandai, but better late than never...

  6. The feet don't seem like Aegis' feet

  7. Ppl, get a few things through your heads. This is a prototype, not the final product, it's normal that it has weight issues at this stage. Also, the design is VEEEEERY diferent from the original, not just the ankles, or the blades, or the shoulders or whatever! It's redesigned, live with it

    1. Agree with you. This prototype is made of solid 'clay-like' substance, that's why it has weight issues. Unlike the final product, which are made of plastic and have hollow space here and there.

  8. The thing here is if you don't like then don't buy. Bandai is not forcing you to buy MG Aegis

    1. That's very bad consumer policy. Whining is one thing, but it's always good to be critical of companies. Not listening to the consumer's expectations hurts both consumer and company (Mass Effect 3 ending, anyone?). Saying 'then just don't buy it' helps no one.

OT: Personally, I like the overall look of the kit. I'm a bit worried about the strength of the ankles and hips, but that's mostly a general concern about all recent MG's. I'll just wait until I see the final product.

  9. Hm, an Action Base 2?
Also, WHY OH WHY WASN'T THIS IN DISPLAY WHEN I WENT TO GFT A WEEK AGO!? :( *supersadface*

  10. guys remeber that this is just the prototype its going to be a few months before the final product is ready so stop complaining and just enjoy the sample pics XP

  11. Well, I think those bulky shoulder and elongated leg blades are for accomodating MA transformation.

    Inb4 you guys comment further...

  14. Damn! bandai always know how to drain my wallet.

  15. From the looks of it, in almost all the pictures, I see the Aegis being held up by clear blocks or an actual stand. If not, then the Aegis is seen to be falling backwards. Seems to me the ankles are definitely the weakest point and can't hold the model up on its own.

    1. Its a damn prototype you fool. Its not made of the same material the final product will be made of. Of course its joints are shit weak.

      Delete
    2. hey genius, that ankle joint appears to be the only piece providing all the articulation and it's a fucking polycap. even gundam 00 7sword had shit joints but at least its ankle wasn't just a one piece polycap design

      Delete
    3. One polycap?! Oh my god, what are Bandai thinking?! That'll never work like it did on the tens of other existing MGs that use one polycap for the ankle joint.

  16. The ankle is definitely a problem. Not only is it structually weak, but also ugly. I hate to think that Aegis will turn out to be the worst of all the new SEED MG line

    ReplyDelete
  17. transformable ms never had good ankles in the mg line

    ReplyDelete
  18. yeah got to agree with everybody here, this looks ugly.. the other 3 look great so wonder why can´t they do the same good work on this one..

  19. Standing beside Strike...the next prototype we see will probably be clamped to that poor Strike MG.

  20. this mg aegis looks great baby!

ahhh, just ignore some idiot people act as "experts" that seems to know everything about this mg even before its release.
also ignore some idiot that said "if you don't like then don't buy", "live with it". MEH.

I dun care, for me I'll buy this mg aegis, then complain later _after_ I buy it.
    Aegis rock baby!

    1. somebody has finally gets it

    2. Lol, hope we get it in the form of Perfect Strike Gundam
If you look at MG Duel, it's shoulders can pop up, so it might be reused for Strike 2.0

  23. what the F!! can't you make a clear blue piece for the sensor on the head bandai!!!!!?!?!?!

  24. If your worried about weight issues then just pray it's better than the 00 joints and how much you want to bet that most of you were going to put him on an action base to begin with...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Now I can't wait for Arios, Kyrios and...
    Oops. Sorry, skipped a few didn't I?

  26. kinda looks too busy but i like the aegis. leaning more towards buying it when it comes out.

  27. Im still not 100% sold on it yet, im not the biggest fan of the aegis. Im hoping it will grow on me the more i see it, cus I really want it to finish the collection of the GAT machines.

    1. In the box art, it looks like that the Aegis is flying in MA mode. I thought the first GAT-X series had no flight capabilities.

      Delete
    2. more like limited flight capabilities?

  29. I wish I could have this as a birthday present together with MG Wing Gundam (TV ver.) *thinking of a great battle between these two*

    ReplyDelete
  30. Seeing it... i no longer want it. Those stupid redesigned areas kill it for me. How is it the 1/100 NG had a better looking transformation?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't like the empty hand sockets in MA mode. I thought the MG would correct this obvious flaw or at least hide it in some way.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm buying this one for sure. I hope bandai will also release MG Saviour and MG Justice. :) I love red ^^.

that pic when aegis capture powerless strike.. I thought at first it's a whole new GAT MS o_0

  33. The latest images don't do it justice, its not even properly tranformed like the the older photos.

I believe it would look better in person. A lot figures tend to look better in person.

    Pre-ordered. GAT-X series, I will complete you.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Since the GAT-X series are complete and we already have the Strike Noir, here's my next GAT-X wish list

    Blu Duel
    Verde Buster
    Nero Blitz
    Rosso Aegis

    :D:D:D:D
