Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm surprised that Lego hasn't made any Gundam themed products. They made Star Wars ships and they could do the same with Gundam.

b) how much permission from Bandai would cost
besides, it would kinda compete with bandai's own model kit lines.

Megablocks did some gundam themed construction kits for the Asian market in partnership with Bandai. I don't think they did too well.

MegaBloks suck in general. There's a reason Marvel/Disney, DC, Lucasfilm, and Warner Bros picked LEGO to market their sets.
